Assistants

Israfil who is Muslim is in his 8th year as an assistant.  He considers himself privileged to be able to go each Friday with three of the core members to the mosque for prayers. “It is good living in a place where each person’s religion is honoured and to eat, pray, work and celebrate together.”

Become an assistant

If you would like to share your life with young people with intellectual disabilities then come and join us.

You will need to have an open heart and mind and be prepared to live, eat, work, go for outings and celebrate as you build deep relationships with the core members (people with disabilities) and other assistants.

You will need to have passed HSC. A number of the assistants study for a degree in their spare time.
