WELCOME TO L'ARCHE MYMENSINGH
L’Arche Mymensingh is a community in Bangladesh where people with and without intellectual disability live, work, celebrate and pray together. Each person is valued for their own unique qualities.
L'Arche Mymensingh is part of an international federation comprised of 151 communities and 14 community projects in 37 countries. The Federation seeks to promote diversity and solidarity across geographical and psychological borders.
We seek to be “communities where people whatever their race, religion, culture, abilities or disabilities can find a place and reveal their gifts to the world.”
Jean Vanier,
founder of L’Arche
Identity statement
We are people with and without intellectual disabilities sharing life in communities belonging to an International Federation.
Mutual relationships and trust in God are at the heart of our journey together.
We celebrate the unique value of every person
and recognize our need of one another.
Our mission is to...
Make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities revealed through mutually transforming relationships.
Foster an environment in community that responds to the changing needs of our members, whilst being faithful to the core values of our founding story.
